L’objectif

We estimated the impact of OAT on hospitalisations for non-viral infections and examine trends in incidence over time.

Constatations/points à retenir

Among people with opioid use disorder, retention on opioid agonist treatment is associated with fewer hospitalisations related to injecting-related diseases. There is an elevated risk of injecting-related hospitalisations in the first four weeks of OAT.
