Findings/Key points

Although safer opioid supply programs are one promising intervention as a means to prevent overdose, they desperately need to be adapted to provide options to people who smoke opioids. The evidence is clear that people who smoke opioids are vulnerable to overdose death and would benefit from a safer supply of smokable opioids. However, is there the political will to turn this pipe dream into a reality?
